By Day: Rock Star Drummer, artist, physicist, astronomer, optical designer. By Night: Asleep I have undergraduate degrees in physics & astronomy from the University of Arizona. I have a PhD in optical sciences from the Optical Sciences Center in Tucson. I've been designing optical systems for civil space and defense, medical, digital displays and virtual/augmented reality head worn displays for many years. I designed the camera aboard the Cassini craft orbiting Saturn. The Spitzer Space Telescope and instruments, the All Reflective LEAP kinetic weapon for the NAVY, and the ASCENDS LIDAR receiver for NASA. I love writing software in Matlab (image registration to 1/100th of a pixel and high dynamic range imaging). I lost my best friend with whom I used to sit and talk about stuff all the time. I'm glad I found this website. You guys are the best. I have a wife Jackie and a daughter Allison. Dog Walker.
