I'm in Electral Contracting (Master Electrician in US), installing mostly specialist disabled equipment and EV Car Chargers here in jolly old Oxfordshire. I have not ever studdied Physics, formally (e.g. from GCSE, A level etc.)but have studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering, back in the day with a "Maggie Thatcher Freeby".
I have a comparatively high IQ at 135 and have Tutored Maths and Physics to A level and beyond. (NB? I, generally, could help students understand mechanics from a practical/engineering point of view which helped them). The only formal study of Physics that I have completed was a level 3 course on Quantum Mechanics with The Open University (believed by some to be the toughest physics course they do; I thoroughly enyoyed it and averaged eighty plus on my tutor marked assessments.) otherwise, I am self taught. I am a recipient for an Innovation Award c.2019. The North Oxfordshire Innovation Award which I won for an energy saving invention. I was the only one in the 'Dragons Den' style final who had a working prototype.
I have had many jobs since leaving Polytechnic back in the eighties including Electronics and Application engineer posts for a Solar Switch manufacturer and Robotics company (CMM's) respectively. I have also worked as a sales assistant in a well known high street health food and wholefood shop, a washer up in kitchens, an Energy Assessor and Green Deal advisor and Carer. I had a Green Deal Energy Assessor group on Linked-in which spammed out back in 2013.....
