I am preoccupied with different lines of thinking in physics, specifically the atomistic view and its direct and indirect consequences. Consequently, I track down all aspects of this hidden assumption in high-level structures; even if you are interested, you could think about the corresponding sociocultural and sociopolitical antecedents and consequents. My firm hunch is that we were hardly attached to the confusing concept of point particles and this confusion has merely been transformed from classical electrodynamics to Quantum Field Theory. Even, nowadays when they teach electromagnetism to miserable students in high schools and universities, they pretentiously or ignorantly present the idea of point charges as a trivial concept!!!!
I am also an advocate of open transparent presentation of scientific works. However, it seems that peer-review is about everything but transparency and reproducibility. Lots of articles are filled with unnecessary details and dropping critical and highly-important assumptions.
